Qualiten Bone TM

A Peer-Reviewed International Journal

EDITORIAL BOARD HIGHLIGHTS

Leading the Journal and its Peer Review Process

Scholarly publishing is community driven service where subject matter experts (editors and peer-reviewers) play pivotal role in preserving the integrity and standard of scientific output that reaches to the public. Without their consistent support and volunteerism, a fruitful scholarly communication cannot exist.

Currently, Qualiten Bone is constructing its Editorial Board, which will be composed of subject matter experts from musculoskeletal research. We are inviting scientists and physicians conducting research and/or practice in areas such as basic science, translational science, medical devices, drug development, medicine, healthcare, statistics, regulatory affairs, medical law and ethics. The invitation and selection are based on an overall review of professional experience, including research experience, publication record, match of expertise with the scope of journal, manuscript review experience, mentorship record (trained PhDs/MDs/Postdocs), international acclaim and overall contribution to the field.

Editors perform in-depth evaluation and decision making during manuscript peer review process. Once a submitted manuscript has passed the internal quality check (plagiarism check, scientific merit check, ethical compliance and other checks) from journal staff, it is assigned to the suitable Editorial Board member (referred as “handling editor”, who is an expert in the field of article). Thereafter, all the evaluation on quality and decision on acceptance, revision or rejection of article are made solely by handling editor based on the feedback provided by other external peer-reviewers (who are competent peers working in the similar fields).

Editors also evaluate the cases of complex ethical misconduct and disputes (research integrity, data fabrication, data falsification, etc.) and provide their decisions to help the Journal maintain the quality and ethical standards in publishing. To learn more about responsibilities, processes, ethics, and benefits check “Editor Invite”, “Resources for Editors” and “Ethics for Editors”.
